Bluebird of Happiness

My mother always told me that whether you see or think of The bluebird, remember it is a sign of happiness. Happiness to come or Happiness we create with our thoughts. We must be in touch with what makes is happy and never mind what others say. Of course we have choices and being happy is a choice we can choose. Bluebird in my book does that; reminds us of our choice to be and find happy.

Some days, that happiness comes easily—a warm cup of tea, a song that makes you sway, a kind word that lands softly on your heart. Other days, it hides in the quiet corners, waiting for us to notice it. And that’s okay too. The bluebird doesn’t always sing loudly. Sometimes, it perches silently, gently reminding us that joy is still nearby, even if we have to be still to hear it.

So when life feels heavy or uncertain, I think of the bluebird. I picture it gliding effortlessly through the sky, unbothered by the wind, trusting it will find the next branch, the next sunrise, the next reason to sing. That’s what happiness can be—a small but certain belief that better is always within reach, and we’re allowed to reach for it.

Keep your eyes open for your bluebird moments. They might come when you least expect them—through laughter, peace, love, or simply choosing to pause and breathe. But they will come. They always do.

With love,

ree
